Key Repair FAQs

Servicing the Santa Clarita Valley Since 1993

Nine Questions Most Garage Door Companies Don’t Want You To Ask About Repairs…

We love to answer them all…

Where are you located?

Our business is located in the Santa Clarita Valley. Mark Miller, the owner, lives in Canyon Country. Over 90% of our business is located in this valley, too.
Advantages to you: If you live in the Santa Clarita Valley, this means we are more available for emergencies than those located elsewhere. Mark Miller says, “I have to do a great job, be trustworthy and provide great service. I live in this town and continually see my customers wherever I go.”

Will you provide me a guaranteed price and send it to me immediately via e-mail?

Absolutely. When you call us, we’ll ask you questions to determine the likely cause of the problem and give you a guaranteed maximum price. If the price we quote is too low, we eat the difference. We will be happy to send you the guaranteed price in writing via e-mail or fax immediately after your call.

Will you show me a copy of your contractor’s license and written evidence of workers’ compensation insurance?

Yes. We always bring this documentation with us and will show it to you before we start the repair. If Mark does the repair himself, he will show you his contractor’s license. All employees carry proof of workers’ compensation insurance, as well as a copy of the busines’s contractor’s license.

Does your company have a perfect record with the Better Business Bureau?

Valencia Overhead Door has been in business since 1993 and has had thousands of customers. We have never had a complaint filed against us with the Better Business Bureau or any other organization. We periodically conduct satisfaction surveys on our customers and have a near perfect rating for timeliness, quality of our work, customer service and communication skills. Our rating with the Better Business Bureau is A+.

Will your company give me a reasonable time window and arrive on time?

Yes, we give a two hour window. If we are late, our labor is discounted by $25. But don’t get your hopes up on receiving a discounted repair because we are virtually never late.

Will you provide me with a complete list of your customers?

We will provide you with a list of all of our customers over the past three years when we visit your home. You may review the list and take as much time as you need to find some names of people you know. We encourage you to call those you know and ask them about their experience with us.

Will you state in writing that the replacement parts you will use are new?

We only use new parts, so why wouldn’t we? We will provide a statement to you in writing that we only use new parts that are compatible with your door.

How long is your repair warranty and will you provide me all of the details in writing?

We offer a one year warranty in writing on all labor, with the exception of rollers and censors. If, for any reason we have to redo a repair within one year, there is no charge. The only exception is if the damage was caused by homeowner negligence.

Can you prove to me you’ll be around in six months, a year or in two years to back your work?

We’ve been in business since 1993. (See our Better Business Bureau report). Upon request, we provide customers with a letter from our bank and from one of our vendors that shows we are solvent and pay our bills on time.
